Hello and welcome to 2009!!!
Last year, more than anything else, was my year for reading books.
Seriously, between commuting to work on dayshifts and my 15min breaks throughout shifts, I've been devouring book after book. Favourites I've wanted to read again, and new books from my Must Read List.
This year I have a plan of action (which in itself is unusual for me). As I've alluded to in a previous post, I'm hitting study again (shock to the system awaits me there), and perhaps working still at the cas on the side, though that part is a little up in the air still.
Also looking at another freelance job to keep me occupied, if the cas doesn't work out, that concerns performing with bubbles at community events. More on that later when and if I have more info myself.
After studying for a year, I'll apply to return to the Disney International College Program and frolic for a time.
And then? I guess I'll return to study and hopefully use that to change my career path to something a little more rewarding on a personal level.
After the week I've had, I know I want to get out of there sometime in the near future.
In the meantime though, my current project is to restrain myself from hacking off my hair in a frustrated frenzy - I have to keep it long ready for the 2009 World's Greatest Shave... this year means a bit more to me than the last crusade I made with the clippers. A close workmate is currently undergoing chemotherapy in the Royal Adelaide for this very disease.
To quote him: Leukaemia stole my life.
So yeah, my goal this year is $500, but i want to smash that.
