more info on our film
ok, so this is pretty hard to explain, but basically the 'storyline' is as follows:
carly and theo respectively are leaving work.
carly works in an "office".
theo works on a "farm".
carly changes from officey clothes into casual clothes.
theo changes from farmy clothes to neat yuppy-ish clothes.
each walks or drives home (they live together - ooh la la - i'm jealous of each of them for the last scene - can i be in the middle somewhere?)
on the way each of them pass different locations in each of which are 2 different kinds of people - i dont want to assign stereotypes, but they're all pretty different from one another.
as they pass these people, the two 'cultures' of people swap in their activities. for example, a man in a suit jacket handing out flyers and a guy wearing a quicksilver beanie and ice hockey top who hassles him trade places, so that the ice-hockey top guy is handing out flyers and the man in the jacket is wearing a beanie and abusing him.
I know, it doesnt make much sense in writing. you just have to see it I guess.
anyway, eventually both theo and carly arrive homw where they 'greet each other' (aka carly wanted to re-take the welcome home kiss over and over and over :P) and hug. where they themselves trade places.
essentially the general vibe of the film is that we are all different yet the same. despite our different cultures, we're all human.
at least, i hope that's how it'll look once it's edited together.
aye aye capt'n - hard to starboard - steady she goes - weigh anchor
ok, we all know that I love Pirates of The Caribbean and just pirates in general. but get this...
in the afore mentioned scene of flyer-handing-outs etc. i needed an extra to walk along the street. mike had brought his 'friend' Malley, who had a blocked tearduct and was therefore weilding a wad of gauze hidden behind an eyepatch. eli was a bit uncertain of this, and had to get carly to touch him to prove that he was 'a nice pirate.
yes, i think so too. a very niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice pirate. and i dont think it was just the eyepatch doing it for me....
:P
my god. the way i've been acting and raving all day, anyone would think i'm straight.
