No one told me Ben Folds was in the soundtrack of Hoodwinked???? Oh well it made for a nice surprise.
Today was so much better than the start of the week.
I was in Marion and Katie came and had lunch with me, and I had lots of customers, most of them pretty good, and I got a phonecall from my boss giving me feedback and telling me my shoot in Millicent sold really well (which is good cos I didn't really expect it to) and my head swelled a bit, then the girls came after work and we had tea and hit Intencity and wasted our money on the games and won lots of tickets and we all have matching watches now so we're 'superfriends' and then we caught a movie which I've mentioned already was Hoodwinked.
*takes a breath*
On the subject of the film, for the first few minutes I was thinking perhaps it was a mistake on my part to suggest we see it, but it quickly redeemed itself. The animation can be very basic at times, not a sophisticated as Pixar or Dreamworks, but there's definately some good work happening there. Although as for all films I probably wouldnt recommend Marion just to check this film out unless you've a spare million dollars for a movie ticket, but definately add it to your 'one day' film list.
And if you're another Ben Folds fan like myself and like hearing him pop up in other films, then I suggest How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000) for a snippet of 'Lonely Christmas Eve', I Am Sam (2001) for a cover of The Beatles' 'Golden Slumbers', The Sweetest Thing (2002) for 'Losing Lisa', and more recently Over The Hedge in which his songs have more of a lengthy screentime, including music he wrote specifically for the film.
That marks my research and public service for the evening, and so to bed with me :) G'night.
